Uxbridge Optimist Club Invites Community to Open House: Discover How You Can Make a Difference

Uxbridge, ON – September 9, 2025 — The Uxbridge Optimist Club is proud to announce its upcoming Open House on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Uxbridge Town Library. Community members are invited to drop in during either session: 2:00–4:00 PM or 6:00–8:00 PM, to learn how they can help “Bring Out the Best in Youth.”

Founded in 1969, the Uxbridge Optimist Club is a chartered member of Optimist International, and has spent decades uplifting local youth through scholarships, sports sponsorships, literacy programs, and beloved community events like the Fantasy of Lights. The club also supports organizations such as the Uxbridge Youth Centre and Uxbridge Scouts, among many others.

This open house offers a chance to:

• Meet current members and hear their stories

• Explore volunteer opportunities including event coordination and Fantasy of Lights support

• Learn about flexible membership options with no annual fee

• Discover how even occasional involvement can make a lasting impact

“We’re looking for people with a positive attitude and a heart for service,” says the club’s leadership. “Whether you’re ready to dive in or just curious, we’d love to welcome you.”

Attendees will enjoy light refreshments and have the opportunity to connect with a vibrant network of volunteers committed to building a stronger Uxbridge.
