Event Details:

Members and non-members welcome.  New members and non-members are required to contact the hike leader by 6 pm the evening before to ensure that this hike is suitable for your abilities.

ORTA Map 5; 8-9 km; 2.5hrs; Moderate pace.  Meet at 9:15 am for 9:30 start.  

Snowshoes are still highly recommended for all Uxbridge hikes.  

Loop hike through West and North Walker Woods .  Very pretty forest trails!  Some moderate hills.  There will be an opportunity to drop-out after 5 km.  We will start with a 5 km loop around North Walker Woods and then continue on in West Walker Woods.  Be prepared with proper hiking footwear, icers and adequate water.    

Meet at roadside parking on west side of Conc. 6, 1.5 km south of Durham Rd. 21, 500m north of Allbright Rd.  

Parking:     There is room for about 5 vehicles to roadside park for free at this entrance to North Walker Woods.  If you are an Uxbridge resident or have purchased the annual parking permit, please park in the lot at Albright Rd. on the east side of Concession 6.  We will be starting at the roadside parking and ending in the Albright parking lot.  The Allbright lot is a pay parking lot.  Uxbridge residents are not required to pay for parking but are still required to register for a 'No-Charge Special Permit'.  Details regarding the Uxbridge parking system and HotSpot App can be found at  https://www.uxbridge.ca/en/transportation/permit-parking-and-trail-sustainability.aspx
