Non-members are welcome.  Non-members are required to contact (text or call) the hike leader before 6 pm the day before to determine if this hike is suitable for you.

ORTA Map 5; 8-9 km; 2.5+ hrs;  Join us for a hike in the beautiful Wilder and Walker Forest Tracts.  It is a spectacular winter wonderland at the moment!  Wilder is hilly.  Walker is more moderate.   

Please come prepared with ample water and appropriate footwear.   We have a lot of snow in Uxbridge.  The first section before entering the Wilder Forest is very open and often has large snow drifts.  As this is a very popular entrance point for hikers now (due to the non-pay parking lot), we can hope that the trail will be packed down to some degree.  I will use snowshoes and recommend that you bring them if you have them.  You do not have to have snowshoes.  Those with them will lead to help break the trail for those that don't.  Poles are recommended and Icers should always be on-hand this time of year.   

Arrive at 9:15 am for a 9:30 am start.

Meet in the Pleasure Valley Pathways parking lot on the east side of Brock Rd.,  3.2 km north of the Uxbridge/Pickering Townline.  2499 Brock Rd.  

Please note that this is NOT a pay parking lot.
