Join us as historian Mark Carmichael shares stories from his book, Heroes of the Great War:  Untold Stories from the 116th Battalion, CEF, on Thursday November 7th, 2024, at 7:00 p.m.  at the Uxbridge Legion.  Come and hear Mark share his passion for Canadian history by telling the stories of the men who served and sacrificed for Canada in the First World War.  

Of note..the 116th was raised in Ontario North (Uxbridge and surrounding area) for service in the First World War.  There are descendants of the 116th still living in Uxbridge and area...and you will see names of those who served with the 116th on the Uxbridge Cenotaph and on banners from the Uxbridge Honour our Veterans Banner Program.
